Creating a portrait drawing Using Pencil

To create your special, one of a kind pencil portrait drawing we start by studying your photograph. Learning the unique features of the subject and then creating a light sketch using a hard lead pencil. Working from this sketch from the top down (to avoid smudging) we add layer upon layer of graphite to your Portrait Drawing building up tones and values. By utilizing a whole range of pencils 2H through 9B we are able to achieve a great tonal range.

When your Portrait Drawing is complete we will email you a preview to approve. Upon approval you will be sent an invoice. When payment is received we will mount your Pencil Portrait Drawing in an Archival Matte and if requested frame your portrait. Your portrait is then wrapped in bubble wrap and professionally packaged to be shipped USPS. We have found USPS to be the most reliable, cost effective method for shipping Portrait Drawings.
